Think there's still a bit of adapting isn't there? sure I've read rj saying he makes them up with a wee bit of modifying.. But in general, kjet allows matey to just buy the engine (rocker to sump) and fit it in no time, the digi is guna be a bit more of a conversion, dash and loom out etc, plus will be a few quid more to buy cos there's a lot more parts needed for the job.

Don't need to take the dash out. It's pretty much plug and play, just a few alterations needed .. all covered in a thread I started in this section just before christmas. As for cost ... a complete abf engine/gearbox/everything just finished on ebay for £226, 'nuff said ;)

I would not be happy running an ABF on k jet, dash can stay in plus if you look around they are not expensive.

it is mostly plug n play, you could prob get away without changing anythign but a few bits are different, mainly the battery cables are in mk3 enghine loom and wiper loom is different length. i always remove the battwery cables and use mk2 ones from lighting loom instead, plus i bin the mk3 coil and use the mk2 one instead. swap ove the mk2 wiper loom plus a few other tweaks.  makes for a neater install but as i say you could manage without

Thanks for all your help guys - much appreciated.. However, I've decided to let her go.. If I was to keep the 16V K-Jet Golf madness, the next job on my list would be to do a complete ABF conversion. WeiTec Coilovers, respray and polised BBS Alloys with streched tyres... However:

A vast amount of my disposable income goes into the old girl and I can't justify it to myself anymore.

If anyone is looking for a half decent MK2 Valver click here:

After having bought my first Atlas Grey Mk2 8V seven years ago... My MK2 Golf days are over :(

I love you.

Hi my name is Laurence, I'm very much like you. Only better.
