I'm not sure whether I'd go for 15's or 16's. For wheels that wide I suspect 15's would need a lot less work to accommodate them. I've not really seen that many mk3's on wide 16's, most of the ones I've seen in person that are down and out are on 15's (which in itself is a reason to go for them I suppose).
I know from previous experience though how much difference jumping from 15" to 16" can make when running a super low car (driving perspective, not looks).
I was going to leave the above sentence as 'one inch can really make a difference', then realised the company I keep on here and decided against it.
