n75? replce with same part number or can it b changed

i noticed on several threads that people put different n75 into thier car

is it easy job?

and if i have done the egr delete i'm guessing the n75 controls the boot to the turbo? right or wrong? as i will replace this next if the info is good as after that it got to be the actuator on the turbo that is sticking hence limp mode  comming and going
so it need to be a take off job and send to r tch for cleaning or new turbo?

or could i replace turbo my self or actuator as i have read u can get a forge part which is stronger lol lots of option so just after opinion and info

What TDI you got? 

People with early 110's and 115's put the N75 in from the 130's and 150's; helps smooth the boost apparently

N75 opens and closes the turbo vanes

Best bet is to replace the actuator with a standard item.  i tried the Forge but you need the corresponding spring to get it working correctly.  I did a full write up of it which you can find in my project thread

Turbo can be cleaned with the Innotec stuff but looking at some recent pictures it doesn't clean as well as first thought.  Safer bet is to remove the turbo and strip and clean

ok so first i wil try get a 130 n75 to put on my pd100 i'm assuming it will be accepted by the ecu?

second i was going to get that innotec stuff and get a boost leak test done (all depending on funds)

if all is useless then it a new turbo or actuator i spoke to vw and they dont sell individual parts i remember from a very old post about this.

how much am i looking at for someone to take out turbo and fit new vane and put bk in? as i may have a way of getting a brand new turbo from vw for less than 400 quid then just need to fit it (is it hard?) or get some one to do it? so how much roughly?

as if it almost as much to replace the actuator as hole job in out etc i might have to bite the vbullet and get a new turbo.

oh and off topic am i right in understanding that u can reset the base protocols or info on an abs ecu  as one i got had correct pump but diff ecu hence esp not working now(different prob lol)

Turbo Technics sells the actuator separately - well they did last year when I had one from them 

You don't fit new vanes as such, just remove and clean all the crap out of it.  There's some pics on ukmkivs by old_no7 showing how he stripped and cleaned it.  PM him on here if you're not a member

Think R-Tech charge around £250 to do that

so is that 250 taking the turbo out and reinstalling it?

 and if i gave them the replacement part would they just fit that as they clean the turbo? lol i'm a 6 hr drive from them but there the only ones i think do a turbo clean

i'm guessing a turbo out and back in is a bit of a job on a driveway then?

Replacement part? You mean the actuator?  They could supply and fit it but the problem you'll have is that you then need it setup correctly otherwise you won't be any further forward and could end your turbo's life prematurely

That isn't too bad, when I was sorting mine out I had a quick look for one and the cheapest I found was £90 ish.
