back end bang

got a bang on my rear pass side wheel when i go over humps and pot hole i wasw thing rear top mounts as it ony dose it on one side

Could be the exhaust hitting the rear axle?! Or rear axle bushes? Have a look underneath. :smiley:

that was my first thought but it seams to make the car go all over the place when it happens i just hope it aint the axel bushes

Shock top mounts are super common failure points on mk3's but seeing as you've said it make4s the car go all over the place id be more inclined to say it ws the rear axle bushes as these can make the arse end snake around when perished.

Sounds more like a rear axle bush.

its not the caliper come loose is it,changed all my sub frame bushes,brake pads and discs a couple of months ago and had a bang from the back end,realised the other day that the caliper nut had come off the bottom of the caliper
brought a new bolt from tps now no noise

its only when the pass side rear wheel gose over somthing if drivers side goes over somthing its fine i need to take a look at the rear scholks anyway becuase when my little one isin the car u would think i had coilovers

really does sound like the caliper bolt has come out dude,easy to check tho.

Surely if it was a loose calliper that wouldn't account for the back end going wobbly?
I would guess bushes or other suspension compent as already said.

Doubt it will be anything to do with the caliper, could also be a worn rear shock or top mount.
