front wheels

just noticed that on the front of my car the drivers side wheel seems to be set back further then the passenger side :undecided:

Time to get the tape measure out i think! Sounds like you may have a bent wishbone or something. Get under it and measure distances between points (i.e. from bottom ball joint to rear wishbone bolt) on both sides, if that measurement is shorter on the drivers side... Your wishbone is donald ducked...
Also. jack it up and see if theres any play in the bushes and such.

Hmm  that sounds dubious, either you've got damaged suspension / wishbone or the wing / sill is incorrectly fitted. Has it always been like this since you've owned the car?

+1, very strange, I would imagine that if a suspension component was that badly damaged you would definitely know about it when driving :undecided:

it does pull to left a bit but apart from that fine! will stick my head under sunday and have a look.. but i did buy a £140 suspension kit a little while ago so will be checking struts...

Did you fit them yourself? Also did you get the tracking/camber checked?

Even if the tracking and camber were miles out I can't see it affecting the distance between the wheel and sill too much. The only thing that might have that affect other than severe wear or damage might due to the caster angle been massively out in comparison to the opposing wheel.

Measure the wheels front to back on both sides (center to center) if they are close then your wing is out, if not you have bent somethiung

got a sneaky feeling front drivers side strut is bent(is this possible)might explain why it drives over the road like a tank...strut does go up and down when pushing down on wing, but very dry noise if that makes sense :undecided:
