I'm seeing parts of my car that no mk2 owner should see.

This thread should be entitled '101 reasons not to buy an old car from anywhere north of Birmingham'.

Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

Fixed it for you . Car was from London village originally, worked it's way north over the years winding up in Penicuik, where it was abused, horribly.

Cheers for that. Only popped this thread up recently on this forum but it's been an ongoing saga for a few months.

Just found out I'm defo loosing the workshop for the time being.
Coupled with that fact that I did something stupid to the welder making the last 2hrs in the workshop less than productive.
I will persevere, looks like it'll be 18hr days for the next week or so. It needs to be roadworthy by 7th or I'll set fire to the fecker, on purpose this time.

It's experimental hybrid technology dahling... Or Fred Flintstones pimp german whip...

Do i think it will be roadworthy, or when will it be road worthy? I'm aiming for the 7th of March. It's a bold decision but needs must. As to will it be roadworthy? Yes, helluv alot more so than it was. Terrifying thing is I did well over the tonne (at Crail Airfield) in this before I lifted the carpets etc

Animals

tidied up ready for some welding action when I've mended it.

Got a Driver glass to go in to get rid of the Gti spoiler bolts too.

To remind me how pretty it'll look when it's all painted and lovely.
