Paint code

I have a black 1997 8v GTi, did this come in more than one black or is that enough info to get the code?
I know there is a lot of info here already about it, but I'm having trouble as there is no sticker in the boot, I dont have the manual, and its had a reg change as its imported from northern island so it isnt on some databases

Got any pics of your car? I should be able to tell!
There was a paint code thread on here somewhere but im useless!

if its metallic then it's lc9z black magic


(although there are about 4 different shades to that dependent on year but only 1 colour code!!)

So how do I get a match if theres 4 shades of the same code?! I got some morettes plus other bits and pices to spray

Looks the same as mine which was LO41 non met Black

Just check and see if it is non met.

Looked at the sticker in the wheel well in the boot?That (if still there) will tell you your paint code. :smiley:
