Mechantronics unit but all sorted now, plus pushed for an extra years warranty on the whole car as she's a MY09.

However, got a few teething problems with her.

1. My RCD 510 get stuck on the track name from my Iphone through MDI

2. Sounds like the exhorsts rattling, may be the baffles??   

3. When on the drive in P there's a louder than ordinary noise coming from the tappets??

but she's in the garage tomorrow to change from long life servicing to time and distance servicing, so ill point them in the direction of the problems.

VW are generally unhelpful when it comes to plugging devices into the MDI interface and my dealer actually sold me the vehicle with the caveat that the iPhone might not work. What iPhone are you using? I'm on an iPhone 4 running the latest firmware and mine is a '10 plate, no issues with track sticking.

1) There is a software update that may help with this. Ask the dealer as its still under warrenty but there are also a few copies floating round the web.
2) Its a known noise its the arm on the wastgate iirc and no fix for it.
3) Is it more a thud noise its probably the EGR valve.
