this is my first post, my names dave and in from corby northants
i have a mk4 golf gti 20v non turbo, engine code AGN, i have recently fitted a replacement agn engine as oil pump packed in and destroyed the bottom end,
after the fitment of new engine i attempted to start the vehicle, it started up for around 2 seconds and then shuts down, it has picture of car on dash with key in it, i know the car is immobilised as i have snap on ethos diagnostic equipment and there is fault code stored this is
P1570 engine start blocked by immobiliser, this is the only code present
i have looked on web and few people have said that after a period of time the key looses its programming to the vehicle, is this thue?
the lock and unlock functions still operate correctly, car starts and cuts out,
baileve it may be something to do with key adaptions,
can anyone shed some light on the matter or does any one have the equipment to re programme the key? im in corby northants and obviousley if any one can help i will pay,
