SO fitted new fuel pump from a corrado kr today thanks for help that spray done  :smiley:the job
 BUT when fitted noticed the pump is a bit noisy is this somethin I should worry about I still have pump from my old 1 but just wondering is it an urgent issue as would rather leave it and buy a brand new 1 in a couple of months

YEAH thanks I used similar stuff to get nuts off worked a treat but changed the whole housing and pump but the 1 I put on is quite loud compared to my old 1 which I still have still have should I change pumps or is the noise ok ?

loud pump could be its on its way out, or maybe the lifter pump has packed in. unplug the 2 pin connector to the main pump then turn the key 1 click, you should hear tyhe in tank pump prime. if not replace it.

if it is working then its prob worth swapping your old pump over at some point, but its a bit of a pain i9n the rear now that you've already done the job

YEah lift pump is defo working checked last night think pump Is on way out car kept cutting out this morning until it was warmed up so al try get it changed at weekend does any1 know the part number for the 3 screws that hold the pump in and where to get them from as my 3 are rusted will be a hard enuf job gettin them out never mind useing them again lol thanks

How much were you for a brand new pump out of curiosity?

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.
