paint looks nice but it just looks wrong with it smoothed, doubt its an easy fix tbh :sad:

with the whole thing being smoothed I think that you would be going to a lot of trouble and end up with a bit of a mish-mash of styles as it were...

as has been said... not sure why you purchased it if you didn't like it?

I did like it when I bought it but the more I look in magazines and forums the more I want to change it!!! :undecided:

Your looking at major work to restore that back to how it should be, why not run a thin black pinstrip instead.

Yeah that's pretty much what I originally suggested, that or some chrome stick on trim maybe, you can get some quite thick stuff I believe to give it some shape if required... It seems like a really tidy car..  Wonder whats under the bonnet?

Don't get me wrong it is a tidy car that's why I bought it.It has very little rust,small amount on rear panel and rear wheel archs where he has extended thems.It's just running a standard 1.8 with a cam.Engine is getting changed though as it's chucking oil out the breather pipe to airfilter.Hopefully sticking a 2.0 16v in.

be alot of work to get it original and obviously taking the filler out the sides will make it all rippley, maybe you can buy a set of side clips and drill new holes and fit the side trims , look alot better then
