just gone and entered details into all of them online breakers yards, should hear back tomorrow.

Also messaged all the AGU's breaking on the bay, that was only head i could find listed

Weaker could mean knackered springs, try and find another.

surprised the belt lasted that many miles tbh.

if you were gonna buy that head then you should budget to replace the valves too, 8 exhaust vaves at 35 quid and 12 intake at 30 quid!

in other words, not worth it. give vee-dubs a ring, there probably not the cheapest but they do a years warranty on there parts and do a quick turn around

I was told that the valves were a tenner each??

Oh right, mine doesnt show up prices, that was local garage.

They said they have to come from VW though, so got to be genuine? Maybe they havent actually rang and presumed??

ALSO - How much should i be looking at for a 2nd hand head??? 250 is the lowest so far? Want another 100 quid off that really

£10 each sounds cheap to me.. yet im sure i heard someone say they got the valves replaced at £35 per valve (fitting)

Right what cars also have AGU engine, ive sent probably 100 emails out on ebay and awaiting reply, some cars are just listed 1.8t and ive emailed them as the fall roughly into AGU age bracket, 1998 - 2000?
