My car is a bit weird

My car was one of the original UK launch GTIs, an ex-Inchcape dealer thrash model.

It came with a basic spec (I wanted one with a basic spec as I don't normally keep cars long and wanted to minimise depreciation by not paying for any extras, then retro-fitting things I wanted so I could sell them seperate to the car when it moves on again) but has headlamp washer caps in the front bumper [no winter pack or any other pack fitted].
I have a photo of its identical twin sister car that I test drove at Exeter VW before I bought mine from ooop North (got a bit better deal) which is in exactly the same spec and colour.


Anyone else got a car with odd spec?

Looks so fresh and innocent, which is weird for this day and age.

Mine has a strange variation of the ESP and I had to ask the dealer if they'd spec'd the car with the wrong ESP system. It's really strange actually. Whenever I'm near the front door, I can hear the car drawing me closer and sometimes, just sometimes, I can hear it calling to me 'drive me...drive me....'. I'm told it's a siren call but it sounds like Greek to me.  :grin:

My GTI hasn't turned a wheel since I bolted on the BBSs a few weeks ago.

I'm not sure whether it's shy, lurking like a big hungry spider or whether the owner is just too lazy to wash it so just leaves it out of sight???  :laugh:
