You could do with finding out what state your arches are in under the trims first, my rear offside arch is nearly none existant under the trim

Also when you remove them they normally leave a line in the paint work where the top of the trim sits, think this will polish out with a bit of work but something you need to consider. And, yes lowered and de-arched looks quite nice, standard stilt suspension not too sure, I have some Jamex lowering springs still boxed up, think they are 35mm front 25mm rear drop, you cna have em for £20 if you want
