Horn push
« on: 11 February 2011, 09:27 »
Morning all!

On the standard GTi steering wheel do the two horn pushes just clip off and if so should they be levered off from the top or the bottom?

Cheers in advance!

Ah cheers Wayne!
This would explain why they wouldn't budge with 'gentle persuation'!

No worries, disconnect the battery and leave for 15 minutes before removing the cover.

No horns aren't part of the battery, they should clip off I think, never taken one out out  :undecided:

When I've taken the airbag out though it was just the airbag, no horn.

The airbag is completly separate to the horn buttons and held on with two bolts behind the wheel. The horn buttons are clipped onto the wheel.
