Right, been having the fun of water in the drivers side footwells and all the condensation, demisting probs that come with it. Have read all the articles on here with leaks, have cleaned out the scuttle panel and made sure the drains on the wings were working. Pollen filter was dry as abone. Checked bonnet release grommet, seemed ok. Checked rear lights, all ok.
Today I think i've found where water is getting in but its on the passenger side! Basically, I took the speaker out of the passenger side door (its a 3dr btw) as i noticed a trickle of watercoming down from that area. Gave the door a good soaking from outside and then had a look through the speaker cavity - water dripping down!
So, I assume I need a new "door membrane" is it? My question is though, is it possible for water to run from the passenger side along the floor to the drivers side. I've never had the seats out n carpets up before so not sure on this but wouldnt the centre bit stop it from getting round?
Did same on drivers side but that seemed ok.
The day I had water the worst and found a puddle in rear drivers side footwell, the car was parked on a road with a camber that would have meant water would have naturally gone from passenger to drivers side - but is this possible? The passenger side doesn't feel damp to me and I would expect it to have felt damp even if the water didn't collect there. Or can it find its way round an other way?
