bit of advice pls
« on: 07 February 2011, 20:40 »

looking for a mk4 to buy either a tdi or gti. currently have a mk3 gti but need something a bit newer and suitable for me and the girlfriend . any model to avoid etc. seen some really cheap ones but thinking of avoiding those. thinking of spending between 1500 - 2500 ish.

Are they good for the high mileage like the older models and just as solid.

many thanks, Ian

for that price you can be a little bit picky but not anal.. get a 1.8t with good folder of receipts and service info.. might be able to push for a gttdi but its likely to have done galactic mileage..

1.8 20v, Turbo or TDI is the best choice
