Audi tt Bam 225 bhp engine, chipped to 275 bhp. The engine has been fitted complete, including all the P.A.S and Air-con.

Audi tt running gear, 4-wheel drive system complete, so the body has been widened on the arches a few inches to allow the track and the system fitted into the golf body and chassie. All work carried out by a professional engineering company. Full Air suspension system fitted, with tank and compressor in the boot, 2000.00 from airbagit in america.

Audi tt dash board fitted, as has the firewall and tunnel from a donor audi tt.

The square roll cage has been replace with a full cage, but its still very accessible and adds strength to the frame.

Body has been resprayed in Dragon green metallic, with the doors having been shaved and handles removed with chrome mirrors fitted. New chrome bumpers fitted. New screen rubber and new window seals fitted.

The build cost so far has been very high but due to other commitments i have run out of time to finish the build and dont want to leave it sat rotting.

Just to stipulate that i will not be selling the car for a stupid low amount, its cost over 40k to get to this level so far.

haha that's laughable!  3 totally average photos on a car that's had a raft of fabrication work along with vague details on the build.  I don't think the money is unreasonable if the project was complete but part finished?  If he sells that I'll be amazed/appalled.

The first thing I was shocked about was the lack of photo's... I take more than that when I'm selling a standard car to show off its condition or show it's faults.... the 3 pics are a joke.... if you'd spent 40k on a project and wanted to get some of your cash back then suely you'd want to show off it's true value abd the work put in to it in detail!

What also gets me is the fact that this is another sale where the previous buyer was a "time waster"..... Time waster or someone who has realised that the lack of information in the ad has proven that upon viewing the vehicle, all is not as complete as it seems.  I am always concerned about unfinshed projects... unless there's genuine cash flow issues there's usually a more serious reason why a project is being sold on unfished, remember that rear engined twin turbo audi powered MK1 I posted that went through two owners in the same unfinshed state!?

1. Part of me says why not, better chop up a cab than a valuable tintop and its less common to see well powered cabbys

2.  Yes, this probably the sort of unfinshed project that still requires a lot more cash as it is always harder to finsish something someone else has started and you may find yourself undoing things that are in place as they dont work alongside the things you need to finishh...

the 40k if genuine is probably because everything has been done by a "professional engineering company" so would be paying alot for all the fabrication work.

to get the drive train into the car would be a big job fabrication wise.  Personally, barge pole comes to mind.

Well i'm cofused by the ad, it says the 4wd stuff is all in and in reponse to someones question it's just the prop thats not in as obviously it would need somthing made up.... the lack of completed electrics would worry me.  From experience, other half ar5ed attempts have haunted me!  with a coversion like this you're better off starting from scratch!

With regards to saying how much was spent... you show me an ad like this that doesn't.  people always do it to give you the impression of a BIG saving, all the hard work is done, it just needs this and that to finish etc... He quotes it only needs a couple more K on bits but i bet that could easily turn out to be a lot more later down the line.
