Well I removed the quarter window, got the grinder out and got rid of the rust (which there was far more than anticipated!), doused in Kururst, filled, sanded, filled again, sanded again, primed, painted, lacquered, and put the window back in just before it got dark. 11 hours of work on it, and it looks proper sh!te!

Looked flat until I put the base coat on, but its not. Also there was alot of overspray from the primer, and didnt have enough basecoat to cover it all. A bit fed up, but hey ho, I now know my limits with regard to spraying. :embarassed:
Hopefully it will look a bit better when its flatted and polished back, but not holding my breath.

On the plus side, a little fiddling with the gear linkage and now selecting gears much better, and no clunking when cold into second gear.
