What spray did you use? I tried to do mine with E-Tech stuff and it was sh!te, I ended up using tint film instead.

I used Savage. It was on ebay and quite cheap, and someone else on here used it (cant remember who). It is sh!te, like I said I thought I would take my time and do it properly, got phots from the start as I was gonna do a guide if it turned out ok as there's not one here. Proper crap though, so I will get some film the beginning of next month.

bad luck  with the tint spray, ive used savage several times never had that problem, i tend to warm up the can and cluster with a hair dryer, and give it serveral very light coats. tint will solve the problem tho.

E-Tech:

With a lacquer and a G6 polish they came up nice but still flashed red, green bulbs didn't work.

Wonder why yours didn't come up well Dom, I've seen your rust repair and you know what you're doing with a can.  :undecided:

Although saying that I did another set of lights and it's like a cloud.

If you honestly want the BEST results and for whatever reason don't want to use film, either you or a bodyshop can mix up some 2 pack lacquer and some straight black paint. Looks the dogs.

Where all my moneys went.

Gonna give it another go at the w.end possibly. Got most of the can left so may as well, and I will try to heat them up like stow says and see how I get on. Dont wanna do my rears unless the fogs come out ok, but this is the last attempt me thinks before abandoning the spray all together. Gotta give it a good clean, do the lower bumper vents, do the rest of the interior leds as well. And really try and find that bloody leak into the passanger footwell! like a B**tard swimming pool in there at the moment but the weather is too bad to accurately pinpoint where its coming from. Probs the sunroof as it has previously been sealed but looks like it has split. Once thats all done, its onto the interior retrim, then in the summer poss some new rims and de-arching. If all goes well, and I can keep the missus out of my wallet!, I feel an engine conversion on the cards! (or just clean up and paint the bay, then move onto another VAG project) but we will have to wait and see

Bad luck with the tinting mate :(

Try it again, if not I'm tinting my blanks at the moment, trying to match the darkness with the indicator. Its darker than I thought.

I also spotted the word "conversion". I like

Had the afternoon off today so thought while the rain held off, the car deserved a good clean and go over with the dodo juice I got.
Have to say I am quite impressed with "need for speed". Was really easy to apply and polish off, and the car is spotless now. I say spotless, but the only downside to a good clean and polish is that it has highlighted a few scratches and a massive amount of stone chips that I had not really noticed before.  Gonna re-do the repeaters, front indicators, blanks and fogs this w.end, and do the interior led's as well. Here are a few pics, now she is looking reasonable,(phone pics though) and need to back to black the trim again though as some of the polish got on and its started to fade again since it was last done.
