 :smiley:Hi, Can any body tell me if my key for my 1996 2.0 lt 8v gti has a chip in it. I only have one key so need to get a spare and not sure where to get one if it has a chip. Thanks

1996 should be a coded key.

open the key and look... avoid timpsons they want 75quid to do a key...  my local key cutter did one for 25 and coded it, so alls good. :)
