I can remember the days when fog lights on cars were practically orange and were very effective. These have now become a light yellow and are probably not as effective.
Xenons, it seems are not too effective in fog, but is anything apart from those vile orange fogs?
How does a Golf R driver cope in fog, I wonder? Maybe, just maybe, Halogens are not that bad in the broad scheme of things apart from being a bit yellow and not as bright.
It's good we don't get too much or any heavy fog in the London area.
I hope I am not playing devils advocate.

These look nice Doc. I take it they do what's said on the tin and there are no bulb warning errors? Also are they easy to fit?

Thanks
Martin

Fault free and easy to fit, although they are a micron larger than the hole they will go in

I'm trying to find 1w, 6000k single LED sidelights at the moment that I think will be brighter but I'm not winning

Aaagggghhhhh!!!!!  finished early today so thought i'd fit my new Osram clear blue sidelight bulbs, offside bulb came out no problem but no matter how hard i tried i could not get the nearside bulb out!! It's rediculously awkward and so stiff and wouldn't budge! I haven't got particularly big hands so thought it'd be a doddle but no! Damn you volkswagen!!
So i've still got baby sick coloured sidelights, am i doing something wrong?

You need to get someone with small hands to help out OR whip the bumper off - it's not that hard then you can remove the headlights for super easy access

Someone with smaller hands maybe but your nuts if you think i'm takin the bumper off to change a sidelight bulb!  i may consider taking the air box out if it's not that hard but thats it, otherwise it's a trip to the garage methinks.

I know it sounds major but these day you have to remove the bumper on loads of cars to change the bulbs - ask most MK4 owners

No no; the Soviet experience was 'come back; and be sure to March when you do.'
sssh; it's 'only a diesel'; but i love it!
