TT ARB
« on: 05 February 2011, 11:46 »
Looking into a Audi TT front ARB, but it is off a MK1 which is only 19mm, and im aware of the golfs being slightly thicker 22/23mm?, if i was to replace the bushes with the correct 19mm ones as MR Audi intended will it still fit and secure down nicely?

tried the search function but no joy. no mention of mk1 or mk2.

i know the r32 ones are better, but i need to know about the TT ones atm,.

regards
james

Yup TT one will fit. Was gonna fit one to my golf but got hold of an R32 one for cheap. Question is what suspension are you running?? Coilovers?? If so which ones as you gotta think about the droplink attachment

TT ARB will fit on standard droplink locations as long as you have adjustable drop links

i have coilovers, and adjustable drop links. but the drop links don't seem to work for sh!t, i get less rubbing with them adjusted down than i do with them extended.

so ok, 19mm audi tt roll bar with adjustable drop links gets the thumbs up?

cheers guys

to fit the TT ARB dont u need a mounting on the struts to fit ,as the TT ARB goes under the driveshaft whereas on the golf it goes on top of the driveshaft ..

see i was also thinking this, but they don't do a strut with DL flanges. im guessing it fits on at a obscure angle, he says you NEED adjustable DL's so i suppose there either going to have to be really long, or really short.

You CAN fit an TT ARB without the need for strut mounted drop links, I will find a pic on ED38 to prove it
