Dash light issue
« on: 04 February 2011, 20:57 »
Sure someone will point me in the right direction :)

Got a problem when I put my full beams on the lights on my dash all go out. Tried a new light switch to see if its that, if I pull the stalk only a bit back so it doesn't click and the full beam comes on the lights do not go out though.

Any ideas on what it is?

Cheers :)

After the initial googling its coming down to I've either missed a Fuse or a Dodgy Earth. Will report back when i crack it, but if anyone wants to put something forward to test please do :)

This sounds a bit like what was happening 2 me a couple of years back, When i put lights on everything would go off, And then i found it was the original dimming wire that is fitted 2 the original stereo that wasnt being used anymore but was earthing out somewhere behind dash,
Unfortunately i found out when it nearly burnt all my loom out, Smoke coming from underneath dash, Pitch black at nite and 15 miles from home, Had 2 drive home with no lites on and sh7t scared my car was gonna set on fire,
No guts No glory,
