928 wheels are very cheap unless they are in the VW scene. Most 928 owners dislike them because they look w@nk on a 928.
Early wheels up to and including 1986 on the S2 were 7 inch wide front and back. 87 S4 cars had 7 inch wide on the front and 8 inch wide on the rear. Hope this helps.
I nearly had to give my standard 928 wheels away just to get rid of them.

thai wronghorse - Yeah, seen that website (although heard a lot of bad things about that company).  There's a handful of mk3's on banded steels there, and I love them all, except the colours of one or two.  I really think the wheels suit the mk3.  If I go for bandies I'll probably run them black with VW chrome centre caps.  I've not seen a mk3 running them like that.

Paul86S2 - Those wheels do look great on a mk3, the reason I'm tempted for these over the bandies is cost.  If you can pick up a pair for a good price, then even with the adaptors they work out cheaper than most other wheels.  Saying that they seem to be really very popular within the mk3 community.

What I need is a cheap set of wheels that look amazing on a mk3 and have never been put on one before.  That can't be too hard surely   Haha

Got a staggered set that could possibly be for sale that I had on the lupo. They need some polishing at the moment.

Metal Centre caps can be expensive too.

Them caps need alot better polishing

i have 8 x caps iv done all look like this, took me 2 hours per cap, for the polishing and hand painting of the crest (which was removed to paint) the speckles are dust particles, these are so good i hate putting them on the car hahaha
