engine rebuild
« on: 28 February 2005, 10:23 »
Hi I have a 1991 Mk2 8v with 110k

but it's not running right it feels lumpy on idling and some times when put the clutch down when changing gear the engine rev up too about 2k and a bit then falls slowly back to normal. Is something dirty or blocked.

But i was really thinking about a rebuild how much would this cost, plus what should i up grade as I'm doing it. To get more power. I want to get the car running right before i start everything else.

After all point in all show and no go.

Why would it need a rebuild?
Just sounds like it needs a good service.
