Mk3 Gti rear lights
« on: 02 February 2011, 17:38 »
I managed to find some Hella all black rear lights of ebay which ive waited for these lights to come only to be disappionted when they finally arrived today.Typical f**king ebay seller describes them as in good condition with no damage etc anyway they come today and the drivers side has a crack in it right in the centre and the other has a deep small scratch on the edge of the light.I put them on the car to have a look and they look really nice but just dont like putting parts on my car if there not right tbh.Ive been having a look at the lights and curious if its possible to actually spilt the outer lenses from the caseing of the lights,if this is possible I was thinking of spliting them and using the indicator parts on the all blacks and fitting them on my standard smoked hellas.Has anyone done it if so how hard is it to do thanks..

They do not split very well if at all, better to sell them and self tint your own.

Yes I agree Kells look really nice they dont look like they have been done using tint spray anyway.I dont mind just sticking with my standard smoked ones to be honest but the more I look at the all blacks the more I want to leave them on

I imported new Hella blacks from Germany, paid about 60€

They had been sitting on a shelf since 1996.
