Cheap top mounts

Don't do it.

Combine the cheapest top mounts you can buy, so cheap you don't even get a bearing, plus coilovers wound down = new ones every.... wait for it..... 1342 miles. 

My knocking was the top mounts. 

Buy cheap, buy a million times.

Agreed. Even lemforder form ECP don't last. Went to dealer. They are £14 without the bearing

were they actually lemforder though? ecp have a habbit of sending you cheap crap even though their website says they're lemforder.

mine were lemforder off ebay, and they were definitly oem. even had the vag part numbers on them

They were in the box. I tend not to question what's in the box if I asked for that brand.

They haven't lasted. I thought they may have been for a lesser model as they seem to struggle with the weight.

if they diodnt have vw part numbers on id question if they were lemforder. ecp will sell you 'q drive' crap instead nowadays which arnt the same stuff even though they will try to tell you it is
