Just bought my first VW Golf Mk2 GTI 16v .... Love it!!!

At about 11am today I bought my first MK2.

I did have a MK4 but this thing is a beast. Anyhow, I thought I would check out some forums and this one seemed to be on the top of most peoples list.

I have been caning it all day and the thing is amazing.

16 Valve, 110k, Full service history, 3 door, black, single headlight conversion, big bumpers... ?700.?

The downside!! It comes with 3 spoke alloys!! Nice!

If anyone can recomend some standard alloys that would be appreciated. The BBS look good but any feedback would be good.

I also have pics but dont know how to post them... any idea's???

Look for bbs RA or RM alloys got them on mine and it looks the muts nuts (RM)

They will be binned shortly. Just need to find some nice BBS and then the exterior should be done.

Nice one - I bought mine last month - Oak Green 126k, totally original ?1100, and everytime I drive it it always gets looks - dunno why I'm sooooo ugly!!

I sold my Civic Type-r last year and vowed never to buy a new car again, as I lost 2.5k in 9 months on that - jap crap !!
