mk2 turbo

Just wondering any tips for tuning a 1.8t auq 180bhp? What would it take to get it to 250 ish? cheers

for 250bhp you dont need nos on the 1.8t...


k04 or k03s turbo.. FMIC.. uprated injectors.. 4bar fpr.. 3" MAF sensor.. decat.. Leon cupra R fuel pump.. stage 2 map.. and a few niggly bits..  job done..

my AUM was 221bhp on stage 1 map.. and even had standard cat !!

On the cheap i'd stay with the stock k03s, fmic, silicone tip and a remap for a decent 220-230bhp. K04 means buying more bits changing oil lines and getting s3 gear getting you probs 260-270ish without a cat, If getting s3 gear Id get your k03s hybridised for £600, then get correct running gear then a remap, but sadly its stage 3 so like £600 but thatd give you about 280bhp

People on audi forum used to get the same figures as people who spent on exhausts, but probs felt less free reving, but with k04 and k03s Hybrid youd deffo need a bigger exhaust.

Depends what size you got now though?

Anything more than the k03s I think would need a an lsd. Depends how much moula ya got.

in a mk2 i don't see the point in spending out on a hybrid ko3s or ko4.

you may as well you a std ko3s or kos or go and spend out on a garret GT27RS   and be done with it.  it costs more but it's a better job,  and get the LSD as 200+ bhp without an LSD in frount wheel drive is frustrating to drive

Id be happy with the standard 180 bhp!

But yer thatd be a big lot of money lost if you decide its too much power and rubbish too drive.

Ko4 is well worth it. A mate has jus ditched his ko3s for a ko4 setup, yeah, new manifold etc needed, but a big improvement. Well it was until he bent the rods, smashed a hole in the sump and took out a piston anyway... Now guna drop a bam in, or forge any old 1.8t up and be done with it...
