drivers seat not locking back into original position!!!!!

hi guys,
i've got a 3 door MK6 so i have to lift and move my seat forward to let people in the back, however i've noticed that now when i put the seat back it doesn't lock back into its original place and i have to keep adjusting it every time. this is all since i've had the inside cleaned so they have probably clicked or nudged something the wrong way. does anyone know how i can fix this because its become very annoying!

Hello mate, if your moving the seat "back" into it's upright position before sliding the base backwards then it will lock in that position. in other words the base needs to be slid back before the upright pushed back if that makes sense?

That's right it's a 2 stage process.  

Slide back the base fully before making the back rest upright.

Its not funny, a few people have done that in the passanger seat, put the back up then tried to force the seat back. I always reach over now to stop them.... Well it is funny cause it hurts them but I get the blame lol...
