Mk3 Golf GTI, on schmidt's, lowered, G60 conversion
« on: 28 January 2011, 21:23 »
as my corrado corrado is now of the road and will be for sometime, so i need a car, i found a MK3 Golf GTI in black in norwich for £400 has a mot but no tax, its not in the best condition, but for £400 you cant go wrong

so today got started on making it run and look better

1st thing was to go was the front badge

new grill

heres a few shots be fore i got started

brakes were shot so needed replacing

next was a major service

next it was the coilovers and wheels of the corrado and put on the mk3 (all new coilovers will be going on the corrado)

bye bye splitter

by this time it had got to dark to take some more pictures, so will update tomorrow

not to bad for one days work

LOVE those wheels on a mk3.  Probably the best looking wheels ever.

another update

new steering wheel fitted

new coolant temp housing replaced as it was leaking

throttle body of and cleaned

brakes painted

next was the big job of getting the wheels to fit when lowered, so bye bye arches

kev working hard

we then painted the arches to stop the rust coming through, rears are bonded back on

also fitted the deep splitter

will update tomorrow

Well that is one way of getting clearance for the wheels.

Looking great, especially considering how little it has cost :afro:

You need to do something about that back box though :lipsrsealed:
