Engine/gearbox mounts
« on: 27 January 2011, 18:38 »
Car needs new gearbox/possibly engine mounts. Anyone who has got uprated stiffer mounts, what do you think of them, and can you feel the vibration more through the car from the engine? Was looking at getting some THS ones. Don't want a vibrating ride - if i wanted that i'd buy a vibrator  haha

so do i buy uprated, or just replace with stock?

Cheers

bargain, just dont want a vibrating ride

where did you get yours from? and how much for just the dogbone gearbox mount? think its only that one that needs replacing at the moment, and want to spend money on other areas of the car - see other post

THS are stiffer, more direct engine power as no engine rock.

No real increased vibration as theyre still incorporated in a VW style mount, Proper stiff mounts as of like of vibratech are totally re-designed, track prep

THS are fine, Email Olly he'll do you a set for about £120, last time i got a set
