That's what I thought, it says they are for Lucas calipers....Can't remember which ones the lucas were, 280 or 288?

they're listed to fit golf G60, so they're 280s. also from the pic you can see they're for 280, but not a good idea to trust the piccy alone. as long as the fitting list is correct though, then they're for pre-96 280mm setup

Hi, yes it's a set of four to do both sides. These will fit your vehicle, although yours may have warning wires fitted which may need either looping or splitting as these are not listed as coming with them (many fast road pads don't use the wires). Hope that helps. Cheers

Dude, the ebay link posted one page back. The mintex M1144 are equal to the Ferodo DS2500 and for some reason they're up for £40 posted!

Those pads listed will definitely not fit the 288mm brake set up.

The 288mm brake calipers are ATE.

The code for the mintex 288mm pads is MDB1741 followed by the pad compound code.

If the fitment chart also includes Mk11's they not be the 288mm ones.

Well I've just sent the seller another email.

I've just had confirmed that these pads that you said will fit my 1997 16v 288mm brakes, in fact won't fit. The part number for the mintex pads for the 288mm brakes is in fact MDB1741 followed by the pad compound code, and the 288mm calipers are ATE not Lucas.
Also, I was told that the listing includes Mk2 brakes, which none have 288mm (G60 has the largest, 280mm).

Could I please have a full refund if that information is in fact trust, otherwise I have no use for these pads.

Not listed for the Golf but they are the right ones.
