Aaah no!

We had one of our brand new Countryman S All4's stolen yesterday too...

The cars belong to a group called "Goldfish". They are absolutely amazing and bought two identical full spec cars from us only a month ago... In fact we handed the cars over at the launch of the Countryman... These are 38 000 pounds worth of car...

The one was stolen yesterday while one of the two members of Goldfish was surfing... They got into the car and started it up... Clearly a well planned theft as the MINI key splits in two... You leave the fob in the car and then just keep the key in your wetsuit... But the fob will also start the car... So obviously someone was watching and planning this for weeks as Dom (the band member) always leaves the fob in the car...

Its horrible... I really hope you get your back in one piece... Tracker is searching for ours...

Terrible news! Glad to hear no one was hurt.

I'm not sure i would want it back after it's been abused. Hopefully insurance will pay out quickly for you.

Sleep with your keys?
If the pikeys are prepared to break into your house to get the keys, they won't thing twice about putting you in hostital to get them.
Personally, if they want to break into a locked and alarmed house/garage...they can take the bloody thing as long as they leave my family alone...it's insured and can be replaced.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

I must admitt I never took out the GAP insurance.

map541, it would be interesting to know how you get on with the GAP insurance etc?

Sorry its been stolen again mate but at least your covered and you and your family were not harmed. A car is just a car at the end of the day.

Have read many comments previously about break ins and took the advice off one of my neighbours who is a policeman to leave keys downstairs where they can be found. I woke up and was aware what was happening. Decided to let them help themselves. It all happened within the space of 30 seconds which really doesn't give you a lot of time to wake up! Its been a traumatic experience but at least everyone is ok and I insurance should cover everything.

I'm not sure how things will play out with GAP. Because the car is so new the insurance company said I could possibly qualify for replacement new car. However not sure if I'm comfortable with that yet. I really am hoping the car isn't located as it will never seem the same.

May I also suggest you invest in one of these.
Cost around £3000, but worth it IMO.

So glad you and your family were not harmed.
