Interior lights

My interior light in my mk 5 golf will not switch off when i unlock my car, when i lock the cat they go off.  Can anyone help? any ideas how i fix this? :undecided:

Have you checked all doors are properly shut?   :smiley:

Yes i have tried that, when i lock the doors with the fob the lights switch off but i couldnt turn them off at all when the engine was on!
