Seatbelt chime

Range Rover and Discovery owners can turn on the ignition (and not start the car) and the put the buckle in and out 10 times. From then on, the car will warn with a light and not a chime. Great for when trundling about the farm!

I think he's talking about moving short distances on private property. In which case old Jimmy Saville can take a flying leap (with his seat belt on, of course )

I want to disable the chime on mine too - drives me mad when moving the car around.

I turned mine off with Vagcom - although I can't remember how.
I always wear my seatbelt - but I often drive with my bag on my passenger seat.  Its usually heavy enough to trip the seatbelt chime - so I turned it off.

Never checked if that also removes the light on the cluster? I 100% want the warning light, it is the chime along my drive that is a bore. And now I have my GTD, I creep along it!!

@mike: does it disable warning or just chime?

It disables both, not sure if it is possible to do them separately.

Is it really that uncomfortable to leave the belt on as you go down your drive, seems a lot of hassle reprogramming for the sake of wearing a seat belt for a few extra metres.
