During the day my instrument lights vary with the outdoor brightness.
If it is bright they are bright and then as it gets darker they get dimmer until it it dark enough for the lights to come on and they come on permanently.
Same as mine.
I couldn't quite work out what was happening as the internal lights seemed to be on at times even although my external lights weren't.

Must check if this is happening with my car when I next drive it.

Thanks to everyone for their comments.
I have DRL's so the main beam is swithced on all the time (not sure if there is a separate bulb for the DRLs). I guess it works on the sensor and different lighting conditions and this can change all the time.
Also with the sun shining against the windscreen sometimes the controls lights are still illuminated

Hi everyone
I was reading through the owner's manual and found the following:
"If your light switch is in position AUTO, the vehicle lighting and lighting in the instruments and switches will switch on and off automatically in the following situations:

Automatically switched on
-------------------------
When the light sensitive sensors detects darkness.
When you drive faster then 140KM/H for a few seconds.
When the rain sensor detects it is raining and switches the wipers on.

Automatically switched off
-------------------------
When the sensors detect there is enough light.
When you drive slower then 65KM/H.
When the windscreen wiper has not wiped for a few minutes.

I have tested the above and can confirm it is correct,so my problem is sorted.

Hello guys, can you tell me the code of  MK6  rear LED tail light?
(The piece with the light of reversing)
Because I live in Italy and I want to do double the light at the rear of the machine.
 Thank you.
