Boggin down
« on: 23 January 2011, 17:54 »
My mk3 gti 16v is boggin dwn nw and again, it seems to slow down really quickly like the brakes are on but the engine like borps out if u get me, it just does it at random and havent gota clue.  The other week the balancing weight came of the driveshaft and i stuck it back on well, could this have anything to do with it. Its not the brakes its more like an engine or drive problem

Doesn't sound good that. Its not cutting the fuel like a temperairy blockage is it. Maybe tb needs a clean. New plugs. I'm just thinking simple mate

i know my mate zr use to do it on occasion, u could be foot down, let off then go to overtake, and it would hesitate on power then just pick up and go, but that was his coilpacks, so a spark issue, but related to ecu. personally mate i'd be checking them simple things 1st to see.

check the wiring to the TPS on the front of the throttle body, where it runsd along back of engine. it gets baked hard by engine heat and eventually splits and shorts out
