Ouch I feel ya pain. Bloody kerbs.

I'm gonna be putting new rubber on my monza shadows soon and my black monza wheels will be gathering dust in the garage until next winter. If you want a temp spare set while you get you ck's refurbed your welcome to borrow the black monza wheels.

Thanks for the photo Mac, I had 235s on my previous 18s but they stuck out a little proud at the front, so were even more vulnerable in some ways. I think you can get away with 235s on an offset of around 50mm but the 44mm of the BBSs is close to the 41mm of the Interlagos, so will sit proud of the front arch.
If I had to drive up that bloody hill more than a couple of times a year I'd get a Skoda Yeti!!!

Maybe I need a nice R like yours that comes with pre-fitted 235s, xenons and that nice blue colour!!!

Thank you Martin, a true gent as ever

^Isn't the width of the wheel/tyre on the R the reason they fit that little extra lip to the arch? to get round the law!

Should cost £50-£70 to sort out by a local car body mobile.

I had one of my mk5 wheels done for around £50 - couldn't tell the difference afterwards.
Mk7 GTI. DBP, DCC, Winter pack. Mine since new, July 2013.
GTI no. 4. Golf no. 5.  VW no. 7.

Update time.
I dropped the wheels in to my local refurbishers SWWR, who have done a few wheels for me in the past, on Monday.
Bought a set of second hand Conti 3s in 235 35 19 flavour over the weekend.

Picked the car up Thursday and SWWR have done a great job again. The wheels look like new and they all have another couple of mm protection now.

The 225 35 Falkens will be heading for ebay in the near future.

Andy, great news that your BBS beauties are fixed and now shod with the excellent ContiSport 3 tyres. They are a great drive.
