removing and replacing a rear window on a mk2

how do you remove the rear window and replace it without cutting the rubber?

u need the tool mate, u can buy them, but dont no where frm or how much,,,,

think ya best off askin round a few garages, see if they can do it "cash in hand" shouldent take that long

yeah the windscreen place will do it for ?15. Just wondered if I could save myself that.

when i had my respray one i saw the guy get it out with a screwdriver  :shocked: :laugh:

sit in your boot and get a trusty friend with a good catch on the out side. push the top edge with your feet and it'll pop out!! to put it back in put a length of strong string covered in washing up liquid in the seal of the rubber, hook the bottom edge in then get trusty friend to push hard on the glass as you pull the string out thus peeling the lip of the rubber over the edge of the boot!!! or save yourself alot of swearing and annoyance and stump up the ?15 you tight arse!!!!
