good news re the amp - hope it lives up to your expectations - will be a worthwhile investment/upgrade.
Also hope you continue with you recovery Asker

Thank you Adrian. Most kind.
I must admit the sound quality is quite superb.
The Underseat Pioneer TS-WX11A Sub-woofer, Kenwood KAC-X4D amplifier compliment each other and the standard loudspeakers very well. If I am being really, really fussy, I might change the front door tweeters to Morel Silk Domes. But this is for another day.

Please don't be. You can get the same and it's not expensive.

Thanks for the offer Asker

I'm going to see what the sound is like when I finally get the RNS510 fitted.

Without me trawling the threads what have you spent overall on the units and fitting?

Thanks
Adrian

Adrian:

Pioneer TS-WX11A Sub-woofer £150. Labour £100.
Kenwood KAC-X4D Amplifier, £275, Cord leads £44, AFS Fuse Holder £11.50, Genesis High Level Interface £69.95, Labour £200.
(Was a massive job to install the amplifier, as the driver's seat had to be removed).
Total = £800.45

Well worth it IMO.

Would have been a bit cheaper if I had installed the two together.

Asker.

PS: For Morel Silk Dome tweeters, total cost is £250.
I'll pass for now.

I know that one. Kenwood radio cassette, 10 disc changer, front upgrades, amp and rear 6x9's in my Mk2 Cavalier SRI 130, nearly 2 months wages at £1200. It was 1989.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

That's it!

CD changers were so cool back then

Used to have a fantastic car audio place near where I lived with my parents.  Spent a fortune

Well, I had a really good listen to my sound system today. Simply brilliant. The weight of the bass with zero boom and the attack of the music takes one's breath away.
The driver's seat had to be removed to aid amplifier installation.
They have done a perfect job, expensive though.
Obviously, I am delighted.

Sounds like they did good am1w

I have an RNS510 on the way now so will compare the sounds of RCD310 and RNS510 while I'm installing.

Anyone have any experience with this type of amp http://www.bluespot.co.uk/car-audio.aspx/tha475-amplifier
