I no this is a blast from the past for some off use

But has anyone got wiring instruction for Ultra Auto Design Golf MK5 Halo Ring Lights
with Running LED Bar (VW40L24S)

Just had them fitted but my local garage isn't sure where the LED wires goes

Tried contacting Ultra Auto Design but found them really unhelpful so far

The LED wires should fit in with the sidelights. This way they will work in conjunction with the sidelights. If you want to run them as DRL's as standalone lighting, you will need to wire them on a separate circuit through the fusebox and then make a decision on whether you want them on permanently or not. If not, you will need a separate switch to turn them on/off.

I did tell him that   but he couldn't make head nor tail of the way they are wired (hence why he's looking for a diagram)

Also said something like the wiring is pretty much inaccessible inside the lamps and there is 1 plug inside the lamps which
isn't connected which has different coloured wires to the red and black on the outside.

So as it stands... got new lights with no LED's working

I am based in Glasgow

Thinking of maybe trying an Auto Electrician to see if they can resolve the problem.

Bit annoying that i cant get them wired up, but hopefully get there in the end

He isn't much of an auto electrician then

You just need to check which is the sidelight wiring with a meter and plumb in the LED's with it. Testing the LED's wiring should be as simple as ABC.

But i think that's the road i will have to go down in order to get the LED's wired up, either that or learn my ABC

Thanks for your help though

Ahhhhh, I see now.

No worries, but best let an auto electrician check the whole set-up then if you are going to go to the trouble of having one wire in the LED's
