how do they stop wheels rubbing?
« on: 21 January 2011, 17:11 »
ok have gone and got myself some nice new wheels with an et20 offset for the wide stance look.

have seen many cars on the net that have wheels sticking out from arches and arches snug just above the tyres.
how do they stop the tyre from rubbing on the arch in corners and over bumps?

how would i do this?

Roll / pull the arches etc, can be lots of work to get clearance.

I no to do that but I see lots of cars with tyres sticking out from arches with tyre about 10mm from arch with no rub marks. How do they not rub on bumps and corners?

What I mean is do they remove helpers to limit suspension travel or something?

Well today I trimmed the front inner wings and rolled the front arches.
Are the rear arch lips double skinned or same as front?
