A decent after market head unit should be more than enough to power some speakers just not subs.. them amps do help though mate..

My sound source is a 15 year old Kenwood radio cassette for added retroness though.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

theres retro and theres living with something day to day lol i would swap my kenwood with bluetooth etc for anything lol

im running a pioneer 77mp.

A bit old now but does suit the mk2 dash.

For a car that only does around 500 miles a year, the Kenwood will be just fine  :smiley:

depends on what kind of cash you have free as the top end stuff will cost and arm and a leg. i got some bits coming up for sale shortly if interested. :wink: :lipsrsealed:
