Coilies fitted!!!
« on: 20 January 2011, 11:57 »
After getting some almost new JOM coilies back in december i have finally got round to having them fitted. Why did i wait so long? I shiould have fitted them as soon as I bought them.

I am now one very happy golf owner. Gone are they days when i drive over a speed bump and the front of the car rides up like a fishing vessel ploughing into a large wave.

Not gone for a silly drop, only about 40 mm all round to see how i like it. Looks good and feels good, firm yet not too firm. Going for a drive after work to properly test them out.

Only problem is I now need spacers or bigger wheels!!

it was a 'test the water' drop really. i wanted to try them out with a small drop so if i drop it more i can feel the difference and work out what suits me best and from what i've read slamming will give a very harsh ride which i'm not kean on. Firm is good enough for me.

right some pictures

before, some time last year:

and before xmas in the frost, like the way it looks in this picture, also pre coilie fitting:

and how she sits now, not drastic but much nicer

went for a drive last night loving the handling and lack of body roll, bumpier but nothing i cant get used to. I may go a tad lower at some point in the future when I have some free time.

what do you guys think?

Looks better my friend, but you need a bit of this going on:

This wasn't standard height, I'm not sure what it was really, probably about 30mm-40mm:

But now she sits like this:

^^^^
That's what you want to do really.
