i have a problem with the 8v digi, when sat at lights etc the revs drop down then rise again,this keeps happening but when i disconnect the isv plug it doesnt do it it just holds its revs, have i got a knackered isv??

well i took the isv (i think thats wot it is, a funny tube thing on top of rocker with two hoses coming out of it and an electrical connecter at one end)anyway sprayed a load of carb clener in it and the stuff that came out was as black as black can be, after abt half a can it started coming out clear, so fitted it back on started slug back up and job done, no more rev dropping although she is running a bit rough still, time for tune up i think

you should have give it a little squirt of WD40 after cleaning it out. otherwise you'll find the valve can stick a bit when the car is run from cold. goes away though after about 5mins when the ISV gets a bit of heat into it!

cheers gambit i will give that a try too, she is running proper rough, keeps trying to stall still and coughs and splutters as if she is mis firing, ne ideas??

have you cleaned out the Dizzy cap? also try resetting the ECU on it
