I know everybody keeps saying to just keep the gti but then you have a gti!
We want to make something different. Weve already spent a lot of time and money on the 1.4 and the colour is rare! Plus it would cost a fortune to paint it and then register the colour change with the DVLA.

A lot of people would keep the gti but i will have leftovers to sell and a 5 door would not fit in well with the project/look that were going for!

Thanks, Mike

I understand what you saying but the conversion makes no sense

Unless it is for insurance reason  :lipsrsealed:

Ps: what is this rare colour.

I dont have any pics currently but will do tomorrow as ill be taking pics as i do the conversion, so ill have before and after shots!
Its not for insurance reasons, as were on trade policy which covers modified cars too.
The main priority is keeping the 1.4 shell as the missus really likes it and doesnt want a 5door/different car. We just picked up a vento fronted gti for the right money off of fleabay.

The colour is an extremely dark metallic grey, similar to mkiv dark grey but its darker than that!!

Thanks, Mike

Do you know the paint code? It'll be on the white sticker stuck inside the service manual and the one stuck inside the boot of the car.

Could this be it?

Pearl metallic grey

Are you putting the Vento front onto the 1.4 shell?
