Bio-Ethanol in Fuel

Just been reading about the new proposals to increase the percentage of bio-ethanol in petrol as of 2013. This may well have adverse effects on older cars. Think most of you guys will be in the clear as your cars are more modern but if you are interested, I've just started a thread on this matter in the Mk.3 section;

Like chip-shop oil makes diesel fumes smell like fish & chips, do petrol exhaust fumes start to smell like roses?   :laugh:
