no their not and mines a mechanical pump well semi mechanical as its a diesel lol so thats no use either hmmm im a bit screwed really then

just thinking your idea of a relay may actually work, do you think it will? as im not that clued up on all the electrics lol

ah ok, i assuemd tdi had an electric fuel pump!  the rev counter feed may be able to work a mk1/2 k-jet pump relay, but the signal might be too weak. what about power feed to the 'commencement of injection valve' or the fuel shut off valve? not sure what kind of signal they use though
